is CEO of WINANS KUENSTLER PUBLISHING, working with clients on branding goals, helping shape their visions into strategies, and their strategies into effective marketing programs.
Walt has been engaged in marketing, advertising, branding, and public relations for nearly four decades, including a stint on Madison Avenue with McCann-Erickson. Clients included Absolut Vodka, the New York Times, Miller Beer, IBM/Avnet, Siemens, Time Warner, and Hearst Magazines. In the 1990s, he was an early participant in the Internet revolution, helping UBS PaineWebber integrate its existing brand with its emerging web presence, and managing web initiatives for such clients as Sprint, Glaxo SmithKline, Wyeth, Comcast, and Cendant Mortgage. He has recently consulted on branding and communications efforts for leading executives and institutions involved in globalization, including the Asia Society, an international organization founded by John D. Rockefeller 3rd. He has ghostwritten articles for the Chinese press, and developed materials for programs involving Sumner Redstone, majority owner of media giant Viacom, and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, as well as a number of prominent Chinese government and business leaders.
