In the 1990s, he was an early participant in the Internet revolution, helping UBS PaineWebber integrate its existing brand with its emerging web presence, and managing web initiatives for such clients as Sprint, Glaxo SmithKline, Wyeth, Comcast, and Cendant Mortgage.
He has recently consulted on branding and communications efforts for leading executives and institutions involved in globalization, including the Asia Society, an international organization founded by John D. Rockefeller 3rd. He has ghostwritten articles for the Chinese press, and developed materials for programs involving Sumner Redstone, majority owner of media giant Viacom, and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, as well as a number of prominent Chinese government and business leaders.
Walt recently authored “Myth, Magic & Marketing,” in which he explores the nexus between rational and intuitive thinking, where brands are established, value created, and marketplace behavior shaped.
Walt earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania, and has taught marketing at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He lives near Philadelphia.
