July 1, 2009--Winans Kuenstler was pleased to have handled publicity and marketing activities for the 2009 Asia Society Southern California Gala Dinner honoring Kobe Bryant, the NBA MVP for 2009 and star of the championship LA Lakers.  Also honored at the Beverly Hills Hilton event on June 30 was Timothy J. Leiweke, President and CEO of AEG, one of the world’s leading presenters of sports and entertainment programming, and President of the STAPLES Center; and guest of honor Minister Liu Peng of China’s General Administration of Sports and President of its Olympic Committee.

Former NFL cornerback and local sportscaster Jim Hill introduced the special guests while Asia Society Southern California’s Chairman, Donald Tang, presented Bryant's and Leiweke’s awards.
